Glory Bee! from Humble Quilts

I presented a trunk show to the Northwest Quilters on Monday morning. It's always a fun time to be with quilters!!

I will be at Northwest Quilters, Inc Monday, March 9, 2026, at 9:30 am, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 7810 SE 15th Ave, Portland, Oregon.

I would love to come and visit your quilt guild. I have several lively trunk shows and workshops to choose from. See them HERE

I have a pretty flexible schedule and it is fairly easy to get just about anywhere in the US from Central Oregon.

Quilt Show! from From the Strawberry Patch...

I mentioned the Belknap Mill Quilters Guild in the previous post, they have provided a quilt on every bed in the rehab facility where my Dad is currently residing. Madison Station Quilt Guild from Humble Quilts

I landed in Huntsville, Alabama on Wednesday. Quietest airport I recall ever going to! Huntsville is called Rocket City. It was my first ever trip to Alabama and I had a really wonderful time!

My friend, Sue, who I worked with at the Houston quilt show, was my host.

We made our way to a few quilt shops.

This was a huge shop and because of a church conflict I ended up teaching at this quilt shop. It had lots of everything, including reproductions, so it was my favorite!!

Mountain Meadows Quilt Guild from Humble Quilts

What a lovely group yesterday that I spoke to!

It was nice I was able to drive and bring a few more of my larger quilts.

The trunk show was Reruns, Quilts Inspired by the Past.

Workshop from Humble Quilts

Yesterday I taught at a local guild. Wow! Fun and busy!!

They were great students and because it was the first time teaching this class I learned how I can teach it better.

They excelled!

They overcame the challenges of paper piecing.

They learned machine applique!

Or they opted to hand applique

Shirley struggled with the pp concept, but look at her amazing block!

Such petty varieties!

It was springlike outside and inside yesterday!

Here Comes the Sun 2 from Humble Quilts

Here is my final finish of the year. This is similar to the previous Sun block.

This one I used machine applique and machine quilting. There is no "right" or "wrong" in quilting.

I'm really thrilled with the outcome.

I wasn't sure which thread to use for the quilting and asked the facebook group. Like usual, I had a variety of responses. These were my choices.

This plum is what I used and it looks good. Thank you for all the suggestions.

Machine Applique from Humble Quilts

Christenna sent me a photo of her block from the machine applique class I taught in PA! I adore the way she framed it!! I love it when I'm inspired by "students" work. These ladies certainly didn't need me to hold their hand. They were amazing quilters!! So fun!

If you are looking for a trunk show or workshop, my schedule is flexible, Please don't hesitate to recommend me to your guild. I'll go almost anywhere and still utilize Zoom when asked.

And I am down to 2 weeks and 1 day before leaving for Uganda with Enduring Treasures Ministries.
